Sergio Aguero smashes new EPL record after Liverpool goal
Argentina ace, Sergio Aguero has made a new Premier League record
after he scored a lone goal during the Manchester City vs Liverpool
game at Etihad Stadium which saw the Cityzens edge their visitors to a
5-0 goal deficit.
Aguero's strike against Jurgen Klopp's side at the Etihad was his
124th goal in the competition since joining from Atletico Madrid in
2011, making him the League's top highest-scoring player from outside
of Europe.
The Etihad strike on Monday night sees him surpass Dwight Yorke's
tally of 123, with the likes of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba (104) and
Emmanuel Adebayor (97) also among the non-European marksmen to have
made an impact.
Aguero sits 15th the all-time Premier League top scorers' list, with
Nicolas Anelka (125), Robbie Keane (126) and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink
(127) not far ahead.
