No crisis in Real Madrid after Real Betis defeat says Calderon
After a poor start to the season, the former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has come out to say that there is no talk of Crisis at the club after the defeat to Real Betis and believes that Zinedine Zidane will turn things around.
No crisis in Real Madrid
Real Madrid has been struggling during the start to the season having won just two of their last five La Liga games and suffered a shock defeat at home to Real Betis on Wednesday night and failing to score for the first time in 512 days.
Zidane's side is already seven points behind leaders Barcelona, who has a perfect record from their first five games of the campaign, But the Frenchman has the backing of former Real president Calderon to get the club's season back on track.
No crisis in Real Madrid
In Zidane's 20-month spell at the helm, Real Madrid has won La Liga and back-to-back Champions League titles and Calderon said: "The team is strong.
"This is temporary. I have no doubt in the next few weeks everything will be different and no doubt we will be candidates to win the title and the Champions League.
"There are 33 matches left in La Liga and the Champions League has just started - things will be changing soon."
The La Liga champions will need to be more clinical in front of goals going forward.
