“Am I watching prime Zidane?” :– Arsenal fans find a glimmer of light within a poor performance

Arsenal fielded an virtually full-vigor team against Bayern Munich last night but alas most of the players didn’t authentically emerge.

Theo Walcott blasted Arsenal into the lead but after that was very lubberly going forward. Alexis Sanchez was at times sloppy with the ball, frustrated with his teammates and indolent in defence. The back four were soft-centred, porous and ostensibly lost without Koscielny, however, in midfield Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain outshone his teammates and was controvertibly the best player on the pitch.

The Arsenal fans rightly recognised the midfielder’s performance and exalted him heavily after the game.
