magnifying changes to his squad if it isn't
compulsory, especially in the January transfer
window.
However, with the Gunners' title charge faltering
after an impressive run of form from Antonio
Conte's Chelsea, Wenger will be wary of falling
behind as the incipient year approaches, and some
incipient blood could be what he requires to regain
top spot and win his first title in 12 years.
Here are four players Arsenal should look to
sign in order to bolster their title chances;:
1. Julian Draxler - Wolfsburg
The German international has been on
Wenger's shortlist for some time now, with the
French manager keen on Draxler's pace and
facility to drift inside since the summer of 2014,
and could provide some cover for the relishes of
Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi should they worn
out towards the cessation of the season.
Draxler is additionally one of the most highly rated
youngsters in Europe right now, and could
become a long term Arsenal great if given a
chance in the side, which Wenger is kenned for
doing with his young guns.
2..Andre Silva - FC Porto
The Portuguese starlet has netted
seven goals
in 12 appearances for FC Porto this season,
including a further five in the Champions
League, exhibiting his considerable finishing
ability both domestically and in Europe -
something which Arsenal would dote as a back-
up option to their current in-form star man
Alexis Sanchez.
The 21-year-old can play as a central striker,
as well as anywhere across the front three, and
would integrate some authentic quality on the bench for
the Gunners, with Olivier Giroud failing to make
the impact from the sideline like he was earlier
on in the season.
3.. Dayot Upamecano - Red Bull
Salzburg
The 18-year-old advocator has reportedly
already been in contact with the north London
side, having been a component of the prosperous
French U19 side who won the European
Championships, and could provide great cover
for Arsenal's mainstay partnership of Shkodran
Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny.
The 6ft 2 physical central advocator is vigorous in
the tackle and a major threat from set pieces,
and could give the Gunners an authentic solid centre,
something they have been destitute of in recent
years.
4.. Cesc Fabregas - Chelsea:
It would be a sensational move, but it is looking
increasingly likely that former Arsenal captain
Cesc Fabregas could return to north London as
the Spaniard is struggling to get into Antonio
Conte's starting XI at Chelsea, and needs first
team football as he approaches 30.
With Santi Cazorla out with an achilles quandary
for an immensely colossal chunk of this season, and with
Wenger still unsure over the utilization of Granit
Xhaka, Fabregas could provide some authentic cover
in the middle, as well as giving that bit of
quality going forward, linking up with Mesut
Ozil and co.
